EUROPEAN ECODESIGN REGULATION – A NEED FOR ACTION
Antiquated fluorescent lamps (e.g. mercury-vapour lamps) may no longer be brought to market since the beginning of 2010 and in a few years, inefficient lamps will disappear from the market entirely. The EU implementation regulations (EU Ecodesign regulation) require all municipalities and businesses to phase out use of antiquated lighting technology over the period of time from 2010 to 2017. The objective is the implementation of energy saving measures in compliance with legally binding provisions. We are making the change – nothing good happens unless you do it.
